The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Prenatal Care Clinics; Late Diagnosis?

Objective: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has an effect on the healthcare system and prenatal care units as well. Our goal is to identify points where antenatal was interrupted during COVID-19 pandemic, well reasons for disruption, discuss possible measures in this regard.
 Methods: This study a retrospective cross-sectional which compiles cases who presented our perinatology clinic period of 6 months after infection first detected country were diagnosed late, despite fact that they could have been earlier based their condition.
 Results: The included 22 delayed diagnosis. When missing follow-ups examined, nine them (40.9%) afraid being infected hospital environment, eight (36.3%) not follow procedures due long-distance travel restrictions, four (18.1) contact list follow-up period, one (4.5%) escaped because doctor infected.
 Conclusion: outbreak found drastically minimize number face-to-face visits. Prenatal facilities also be underutilized possibly limitations, fear infection, contaminated staff. As result, efforts improve maternal health programs are suggested. A variety information, education, communication materials can created raise awareness about pregnant women pandemic.
